(1) Navigate to office.com in the internet web browser on a computer and sign in with your credentials. You should see the below message:

(2) Keep clicking next through a few screens until you get to a screen with a QR code. This QR code will need to be scanned from your Microsoft Authenticator app. (If you do not have it installed on your phone, click the link below for a guide to install it: Download and Install Microsoft Authenticator App)

(3) From Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone: Click the (+) sign in the top right corner of the app, and then select 'work or school account'. Select 'Scan QR Code' and scan the QR code displayed on the computer screen before hitting next.

(4) After scanning the QR code and hitting 'Next' on the desktop, you will see a pop up both on your screen, and on your Microsoft Authenticator app. The screen should show you a 2 digit number and the Microsoft Authentictor app will have a blank space for you enter the numbers on screen to confirm your sign in.



(5) Once you confirm the sign in, you are all set and can now sign into your email, teams, and other office applications


*Note* After signing in with MFA, that device will be marked as safe for up to 90 days, or until a password change is made.
